Season before: Dublin sent off, Nil nil draw at home to West ham; crappy season, manager changed but no better

Season before: 2 nil up after twenty minutes then chucked away to draw 2 all at home to southampton. Relegated from premiership as a result of not being able to hold a lead.

Season before: 2 nil at home to watford, a Brian Deane brace; promoted to premiership

Season before: Opening game 5 nil drubbing by Bolton, relegated

Surely it is cheaper to buy a ticket for the opening game at Leicester City, then you know the result of the whole season, saving much time and money.

I shall be paying attention on Saturday, thats the way the season will go....

i cant wait for saturday. im just praying for not another drubbing . a draw is expected, and also acceptable. a wins a bonus i think.

THE Match Started promisingly, the season never got started.

To get promoted you need 2 points per match, or "draw away, win at home"

That was the formula last promotion.

An away win is a great start...likely a promotion season

An away score draw an exciting season...possible playoff position

An away nil nil...Snoozy season lower mid table

A Loss... oh dear manager sacked at Christmas
