maybe, but on a free transfer on a incentive filled deal he would be a much better back up to Vardy than what we currently have, I'm not sure what strikers that are available right now that would come here knowing Vardy is going to start no matter what

No we don't. Hughes, Thomas, Kapustka and Uche are young enough to play for the under 23s, so it's not a problem if they stay.
But it would probably be good for them to be loaned out. Still a few weeks left before the transfer window closes for clubs below the Championship.

City have submitted their 25 man squad for the first half of the season. It doesn't get published until the end of the month so the LM have predicted who is in and who is out. They don't mention Hughes, Uche, Thomas or Kapustka, who are O21 but U23.

And it's not set in stone. It can be changed, with the permission of the league. So if we sell someone in the 25 man squad presumably we'd have no problem giving someone else their place.

And we wouldn't necessarily name a full list of 25. If the likes of James and King aren't going to play, we could leave slots open to give us the chance to sign free agents.
