O.K so its 2 wks before we see a fixture list like we have never seen before. My dodgy maths says its 46-1 as to who and where we play our opening lge 1 game.

Fancy a go ?

I'll start with my prediction for the opening day fixture being at Boundary Park

So........OLDHAM ATHLETIC..........AWAY

Scunthorpe at home - a repeat of last years corresponding fixture, and probably the same result. Remember the first game of last season?

Yes. It was against Blackpool.

45/1, I think.

Last time I went to see City at Oldham, I got stuck in snow on an M62 service area on thev way back.

And you watch the southern ponce change allegiance when we do
I've already told my 8 year old that we'll take their end that day...

"one f in franchise, there's only one f in franchise....."

carlisle at home

23 opponents either home or away:102:

My last visit to Oldham saw us draw 1-1. It pi$$ed it down all game, and to those that have been will know that means a right drenching.
A bleak venue, with Saddleworth Moor just over the back.
If you dont no we are in lge 1 then this is the perfect place to give you that wake up call.

Last time we played them away was in our promotion season 95/96 if I remember rightly.

Garry Parker had been stripped of his captaincy just before the game due to the infamous tea throwing incident.

We lost 3-1 was it Whitlow who scored?

Which makes it 45 chances that you won't get any particular fixture set against 1 chance that you will - the odds that you will get a particular fixture are 45/1.

I'm going to be honest with you now. I haven't got a clue who will we will be playing.

All of that is true. You could also have reminded us that the match attracted our lowest crowd of the season - just 5,582.

Fourteen days later we lost to Sheffield United at home!
