There might be a vacancy for him(Burley) at Everton by Monday morning. Mind you i bet theres a few on here that would like to see Levein return to Hearts.

I don't think there is much chance of that BB.

I can't see Burley wanting to come here anyway (and if he did, how long would he stop!).

He must have piles, he cannot stay in one place for any length of time!:039: :039: :039:

Im sure the prospect of coming to a Championship club in the bottom half of the table sounds really appealing! Forget Burley why not try to tempt Mourinho here? :icon_roll

Well he went to Derby so what's the difference?

His stock has risen since then though. He took Derby to the playoffs with no money and broke the dominance of the Old Firm in Scotland. I very much doubt he'd want to start all over again with us. Not to mention he seems unable to settle in a job.

Depends what's behind the departure.

If it relates to anything similar to issues at Derby he may find it hard to find employment, as in not learning lessons.

It could be totally different however, like having a problem with the owner choosing some of the purchases which CL wouldn't have accepted either.

Anyway how much of this success is due to the foundations CL built?

The prospect of some our fans wanting you out after one year because you aren't top of the league is hardly enticing.

Anyway why all this talk of Burley, I thought we had all set our hearts (excuse the pun) on Ernie Tippett as new manager, if Craig were to ever leave.

Ernie is waiting in the Wings PFKAKTF,he is there if we need him....

No doubt both everton and leics fans are eyeing burley up, if moyes leaves everton, then burley will have an easy choice of which club to pick. But then leics fans will want moyes.

I would be surprised were he to end up at Everton, IMO his track record tends to make him a more attractive appointment to a championship club, I would imagine Everton would go for a higher profile manager, were they to sack Moyes. Burley IMO would not be an improvement for Everton. However Norwich may well look at Burley, because surely now Worthington must be on borrowed time.

One thing for sure, this will be the start of this season's managerial merry go round.

Crikey I can't believe we haven't had a call for MON to come back yet ;)

CL will be our manager for a while yet.

CL is 33/1 for the Hearts job.
