City defender Patrick Kisnorbo was part of the Australia side that gained a 3-0 victory over Singapore in an international friendly on Saturday.
The game was the final warm up match for the Socceroos ahead of their opening fixture in the Asian Cup in Bangkok on July 8.
And Kisnorbo staked his claim for a place in the starting XI on that day with a strong performance in the heart of the Aussie defence
Or the report from the Sydney Morning Herald:
At the other end, however, it was a totally different story. Australia's defending was lamentable. Luke Wilkshire rarely looked settled in his new role at left back, while in the middle Lucas Neill was guilty of several schoolboy mistakes and Patrick Kisnorbo was getting caught out of position and exposed for a lack of pace. Soon after the Socceroos took the lead, Kisnorbo - who had already been booked - was replaced. The chief threat was nimble attacker Khairul Amri, whose acceleration, touch and movement pulled the Socceroos out of shape
