'Paper Ticket' - booking home tickets

Someone has asked me this 'When booking a home ticket - what does the method 'paper ticket' mean? Now that's conflicting as it may meant print at home. As I am a ST, I don't know the answer. Does anyone with experience know what it means?

It's a ticket printed on paper and sent to you in the post. At least that's how it works for season ticket holders who buy extra tickets (as for Donny)

Indeed this is correct. A former COTY has used my ST reference to book tickets and opted to have paper tickets sent to me (And if he doesn't stop taking the piss on facebook he won't be getting them).
