Pearson

The Pearson move is a strange one, didn't think he'd be working with our owners again! From either's perspective.

Would've thought he could still get a job here too (in England I mean, rather than back at City)

Obviously resolved their 'fundamental differences in perspective'

Hypocrites

Our former manager has been appointed Manager of Leuven ( according News Now feed). Interesting given his and the owners previous relationship. Now we can while away the hours making up all sorts of rumours.

How do you say "ostrich" in Belgian/Flemish/German or whatever they speak there?

Owners obviously don't hold grudges. Pearson's probably apologised so they've done him a favour by giving him a job.

It's a curious career move for him though. The standard is league two at best. A backdoor route to Leicester maybe.

If their differences were resolved, why didn't we bring him back as opposed to hoping our Oompa Loompa assistant manager can step up?

I would bet a significant amount of money on him being our manager by the end of the season.

What an absolute ****ing joke that would be.

What makes you think the players would want Pearson back?

Would he let them have chicken nuggets and wedges and play 4-4-2?

It would be less of a joke than hiring his assistant was.

Pearson was very good at putting a behind the scenes team together, maybe that is what is needed there and they've hired a man with a proven record in that department.

Massive ****ing lol

It's a bit of a joke really.

I hope this has **** all to do with Leicester City in the future.

We could end up going further backwards than we already have over the last year.

Very strange but the guy is a proven success. That I suppose is the temptation.

He has left our club in a better position than he found it, twice. And he was a major part in building the foundations that led to our success over recent years.

Now I'm not suggesting I'd want him back, but I'm struggling to understand all the hate for him. I also believe he'd be an improvement on what we have now (although that's not saying much).

Perfectly said. Nigel got us up from League 1 in what was one of the most crucial seasons in our club's history.

Then he got us up again in what was another of the club's most important seasons.

He may not be a genius tactician but we should have nothing but respect and thanks for the guy.

And yes he'd be an improvement on Shakey.

I really don't see Pearson coming back here to replace Shakey, considering Shakey has always been a key part of his team.

I think as has been said, they probably recognise that Pearson lay a lot of the groundwork and helped turn us into a well-run club and that's what they want for Leuven.
