Sorry for the shite thread but just wondering if anyone else is watching Soccer Sat and heard the Post Horn Gallop on the Perth-Melb piss take highlights?
IIRC Peterborough and Blackburn have it too. In fact I'm pretty sure other teams started it before we did.
Colchester United 1937
LCFC later.
But I doubt very much an Ausralian team did. Just thought it was strange how it had traveled. Also I would have thought we would have been one of the first due to our connection with foxes/ hunting.
What has the Post horn gallop got to do with fox hunting?
Other than that it's played on a horn which is vaguely similar to that used by master of the hounds at a fox hunt, nothing.
Vaguely similar in that it's also a brass wind instrument. :icon_lol:
By the same logic, all of Glen Miller's music must've been about fox hunting
