Matty Piper training at City to fully recover from knee op, how I wish we could have a fully-fit Piper now City would be ideal now the right wing.

Never should of and never wanted to leave to Sunderland

He didnt have to sign, it was entirely down to his final say....

He was forced out the club with the spectre of Admin firmly over City.

it was his final signature, he could have said **** off but the lure of money was there. Dont be taken in with all this wet eye stuff....

well I personally would like to see him back at the club, Even half fit he cant be any worse than sylla etc..

Give im a play as you go contract a wait and see!

Lets stop being so negative on this site lets leave that to the other site.

Come on we can and will be big again, as a useless ex manager once said Keep the faith.

The futures bright the futures blue

I feel Piper is still a long way away from regaining the condition needed to perform in competetive championship games. However, when he does regain fitness, it would be very wise of RK to offer him a contract...

Think it is more a case of IF rather than when he regains fitness, no doubt he has/had talent, but has suffered severly with injuries since he left and can not see him ever being the player he was.

I don't care, we are too wrapped up with our recent history. When a player goes, he goes. Piper is yet another player "we" fans don't seem to want to let go of.

Forget the crippled ol' git

I think it is more of a case of the club doing him a favour than anything else. I can't see him being fit for professional football.

I only hope he's washing his own kit and bringing in a packed lunch every day - this club hasn't got money to burn.

Useless? He was the most successful of a lengthening line of managers which the so-called City faithful have hounded out of the club!

Who would want to be Robert Kelly with supporters like ours?

Or, who would want to be a supporter of Leicester City with a manager and a like team ours?

I suppose that depends of how you would define 'supporter', why you support the team and what you want to get out of it.

Supporter = Somebody who wants to see their specific club succeed for reasons of pride and passion as opposed to monetary gain. This supporter may also contribute to the financial well being of the club in any way the individual may see fit. e.g. Attending matches or buying club merchandise

we should support the manger and the players yes we are not top of the table but RK never said we would be ,IMO we put more pressure on the manger and players than we should yes we have had a few bad games but dont all teams we have a very young team that will come good maybe not this season but I'm sure they will in seasons to follow just give them time its a long season and its only just started ,OK its not got off the way us or the club would like but I'm sure they will come good and finish in the top 10

Not sure how true this is but I heard that, because Matt Piper received an insurance pay-off as a result of his injury, that he was legally unable to sign professional terms with a club for a period of time (I heard three years). I do know that he has been playing local football.

He can pay it back, however, I seem to remember one of our former players doing that.

If you have a subscription to LCW you can see the interview.. This is not the case.. his contract at Sunderland was cancelled by mutual consent, he was given his registration and he is now a free agent. He wanted to leave Sunderland because he has 2 kids who are living in Leicester and he wanted to be nearer to them.

The specialist in the USA (who has also (or will also) operated on Michael Owen) has said there is no reason why he can't play for at least another 5 years and has not advised him to retire.

Not sure if he will ever play at this level again, but from his point of view if he does, it's clear he'd like to play for Leicester.
