The awards for the match against Inter Milan are now displayed on www.player-ratings.co.uk.

A huge thanks to everyone who voted, we had a mammoth response, exceeding anything I've ever seen before. A total of 93 people voted only 7 of which were radio listeners. I think this is superb considering the best I was getting last season were between 50 and 60 votes and this was for a pre-season friendly where only 14.5k people turned out.

Sheff.

Well done sheff

Good work Sheff. :023: ;)

Excellent stuff Sheff, im sure the numbers will go up, a mention in the City programme wouldnt go amiss would it??? :)

Peter Canero has been released by mutual consent. The 24 year old wing back rarely featured in the first team due to injury, and never managed to get himself into Craig Levein's plans.

this was on your news ticker sheff, is this true or have i missed something???? why did he get a game against milan if he was gonna get released straight after???

Yep its true, maybe Levein was giving him one last go and he disappointed.

didnt personally think he was that bad against inter. just didnt quite fit into CL's greater plan I reckon.

Maybe Canero was an attitude to fitness thing. CL has been stressing he wants players that are lean, mean and fast - doesn't explain why Dublin and MDV are still here though!

tbf...MDV does look slimmer than he did last season.

Id agree MDV does look alot slimmer and meaner. Just worries me that he may be having and Akinbiyi/heskey style goal drought and any striker can struggle to come through those without a move or serious change of playing style.
