Jarrett and Johnson were excellent (in killing Ipswich's game and getting forward themsleves. Hume and Horse ran for everything but both missed good chances. Porter was the most effective attacking player. Yeates shows the most skill though - the corner with Porter was really classy. McAuley was mostly composed in defence and brought the ball out well. Kis did some great positional work late in the game but slipped around a lot in the first half. Nisse did some good work going forward but got caught out badly once defending. Maybury was the epitome of the ugly play - niggling the whole match but doing his job as effectively as I've seen him play this season. Hendo only had one real save to make - flapped alarmingly at crosses but his kicking was genuinely good. Glombard's role when he came on was mainly to just take the ball down to the corner flag, so too early to say what he can do.
MotM - McAuley, just. But Johnson comes close, not just because of how he personally played but also because of how he ordered the side around.
