Ratings for yesterdays game
Douglas 7 - Solid game yet again, very little too do, but what he did do, in general, was good.
Maybury 7 - Decent defensive performance, did not get forward as much as I would have liked, but his main job is to stop the opposition and he did that well.
McCarthy 8 - Another excellent display from Paddy, I would like to see him skipper the side, has cut out a lot of the indiscipline and looks a far better player, plays with real passion and is forming an excellent partnership with Gerrbrand.
Gerrbrand 8 - Looks a superb signing, bearing in mind he has only played 3 competitive games in English football he looks remarkabley composed and comfortable.
Johansson 7 - Same as Maybury.
Sylla 5 - Offered little threat going forward but did work hard for the team, not convinced he is consistent enough to be a regular starter.
Kisnorbo 6 - Worked hard for the cause, battles and never really allowed the Preston midfield to dictate but it was crying out for somebody to put their foot on the ball and take control but Paddy is not that type of player.
Gudjonsson 6 - Same as Kisnorbo, although Joey did get forward to support the attackers on a few occasions.
Hamill 5 - Same as Sylla, never got into the game, and offered no attacking threat whatsoever, both wingers were a shadow of their performances against Coventry.
De Vries 5 - Poor today, but he can be forgiven a bad game, seemed to labour today, and never really got into the game, however he was starved of quality service.
Hume 6 - Worked hard but was fairly ineffective, fed off scraps and never really had the opportunity to turn and run at defenders.
Subs
Dublin 6 - Did fairly well and livened the game up a little, because of the lack of quality service, we ended up playing a lot of 50/50 balls which suits Dion.
Smith 6 - Glimpses of his quality, didnt have the same effect as when he cameon against Derby but again was another suffering from a lack of supply.
Hammond - Not enough time to earn a mark, but livened things up a little would have liked to see him on a little earlier in place of Sylla.

Woefull game, we went for a point, but PNE were there for the taking, we should have pushed on for the win
Douglas 6 Not a lot to do, kicking was bad in the first half especially. Doesnt inspire me im afraid. Good defending in front of him.
Maybury 6 Not really tested defensively, tried to get forward late in the game, probably did enough to keep Dicky out for now

Gerrbrand 8 first time ive seen him and i was impressed enough to give him MOTM. We must keep him and Paddy together for a few games, looks a good partnership.
Johannsen 6 compatent performce, not much going forward and obviously out of position but steady enough
Sylla 7 People sat around me were slagging him but i thought he did ok. tracked back and was direct when going forward
Kisnarbro 6 put his foot in and defended well but not much going forward.
Joey 6 busy performance mainly in front of the back4 tried his usual long rangers.
Mamil 5 should have come off at half time
MDV 5 got involved too much with confronting their defenders, i thought he might be sent off.
Hume 6 dissappointed with him although he had little service.

Dublin 6 offerred more than MDV
Hammond 5 not on long enough.
We defended well but lack creativity from midfield and needed Smith on from the start.
CL said Deepdale was a hard place to pick up points, yet PNE havent won a game there all season!
