Go to www.player-ratings.co.uk to record your ratings for the game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Here are mine:

Douglas 7.5 - Made two outstanding saves, but one fumble nearly cost him
Maybury 6.5 - Steady, quietly impressive
Sheehan 5 - Looked very nervous on his home debut, good corners though
Johansson 6.5 - Hardly recognised him with his hair cut, did ok but I thought distribution was poor
Dublin 7 - Added assurance and leadership to the back line
Sylla 7 - Much better than recent performances, looked dangerous for longer periods than previously
Hughes 8.5 - Oh how we have missed this guy, his quality just brought the team to another level
Gudjonsson 6.5 - A bit quieter than in previous performances and too keen to pass back
Williams 6 - Really needs to get himself involved more and stop being so bloody laid back about everything
Hammond 8 - Caused mayhem in the defence all game and was a great foil for De Vries
De Vries 8.5 - Didn't do much at all wrong today, held up the ball well and took his goals well

Douglas 8 - Made some vital saves at vital moments in the game.

Maybury 6 - Very average. Sound defensively but not as effective going forward.

Sheehan 6 - A fair debut. Some nervous moments but his corners were the most dangerous i have seen by any player this season.

Johansson 7 - Solid. One slip let their striker in on a 1 on 1. Rab saved him. Didnt do much else wrong

Dublin 7 - Very calm and added confidence and assurity to the back line. As always sometimes a little too casual.

Sylla 6 - Good cross for the first goal. Did nothing else for me and his performance was far too laid back. Didnt track back at times and didnt seem to care.

Hughes 8 - Quality touches and through balls. Made a big difference. Didnt look 100 per cent either so hopefully more to come.

Gudjonnson 6 - Average. Sometimes got caught too far forward but gave is all.

Williams 5 - Poor. Only one run of note in the game. Anonymous for most of the game. Another who was far too laid back.

Hammond 7 - Pace caused them problems. If only he had a bit more belief. Made chances for himself and for others.

de Vries 7 - Took his goals well and bags of effort.

Douglas - 3 excellent saves. He had a really good game and saved everything that came his way.

Maybury - 7 excellent ball to Sylla that resulted in the first goal. Still not as good as last season but defo his best game so far this season.

Sheehan - 7.5 An excellent home debut, look assured and calm for such a young player. I was really impressed. Why did we by Gilbert? This lad looks much better

Dublin - 7.5 Made the difference at the back, really good game

Johannsen - 6 Seemed to get muscled off the ball a couple of times and what happened when that lads raced through and hit the post?? Eric was no where.

Sylla - 7 A good game. Attacked and played a great ball for the first goal.

Hughes - 8 A great performance. Superb, oh how we have missed him. Plus he was playing on the left!!

Williams - 5.5 Again was missing for large chuncks of the game. Whats going on? He just doesnt seem to be turning into the player he should be.

Gudjonnson 6.5 Ran hard and closed down well.A solid performance

Elvis - 7.5 All that was missing was the goal. It was his pace that caused Wednesday problems. He was constantly running across the line look for the ball over the top. A really good game just wish he would score!!

De Vries - 7.5 two good goals and chased everything and did his bit. Well played son.

Let it be known, that for my 4,000th post I am declaring Stephen Hughes to be the best player for this club since Sir Izzet...

4,000 down, apologies for those who have witnessed....

That could easily be the case. ;) Congratulations on the 4000 posts. :041: :041: :044: :031: :star: :star: :030: :023:

Douglas - 8 - Made 2 top-class saves and controlled the area well, despite dropping the ball once near the end of the game.

Maybury - 7 - Played well down the right, had a solid performance.

Dublin - 8 - Superb at the heart of the defence and never did anything wrong.

Johansson - 7 - Proving to be a great signing, another good performance.

Sheehan - 6 - Looked good to begin with but made a few silly mistakes, all down to nerves I think. His deliveries from corners were good.

Gudjonsson - 6 - Had a quiet game, but never did anything wrong.

Sylla - 7 - Had lots of pace and made some great runs and passes.

Williams - 7 - Had a quiet game as well but looked good when involved.

Hughes - 9 - Simply outstanding, we have missed him so much. Made 3 superb passes and never made a mistake. Thank god he's back!

Hammond - 8 - Had a great game, caused the defence lots of problems, and seems to be working really well with De Vries.

De Vries - 8 - Had a good first half scoring 2 good goals, but quietened down in the 2nd half. Caused the defence problems all game.

Douglas - 7 Did everything he had to well. Excellent save in the second half
Maybury - 7 Glad to see him back at RB. Much improved on the last few matches. Should be back to his best soon I hope.
Dublin - 7 Good solid performance. Seemed to give the defence some solidity. His distribution could do with some improvement, shame his legs gone.
Johansson - 7 Looked comfortable playing with Dublin. was very secure.
Sheehan - 7 After a nervous start, settled down well. His natural left foot gave the defence a sense of balance. Did well with his set pieces. Can only improve.
Sylla - 6 Better performance. Looked dangerous going forward but as the game went on he tended to go backwards more.
Gudjonsson - 7 Worked hard but at times run or played the ball across the pitch too much and slow the forward momentum down.
Williams - 6 So much potential, be great if he played the whole match and not disappearing for long periods.
Hughes - 8 Gives us so much positive movement, distributes the ball well and gets into scoring positions. Can't wait till he's 100% fit. Missed his spark this season, so good to have him back.
Hammond -8 Run himself into the ground, unlucky agin in front of goal. Get the feeling that once he put the ball into the net it will light the spark and he'll get a bag full.
De Vries 8.5 Held the ball up well and worked hard to bring the others into scoring positons. Gets my man of the match for putting the ball in the net twice. Looking forward to more positive things from the strike force once Elvis, Hume and De Vries play more together.
Hume - Not on long enough for a rating but long enough to impress.
Kisnorbo - Short and sweet introduction.Good to know his fitness is improving.
Wilcox - Only on for about 5mins and managed to avoid the ball quite well.

Done mine but cant be bothered to explain myself.

Well done on 4K alex. Id prob agree with you on Hughsey. I reckon he is one of if not the best midfielder in this league. Lets hope we can hold on to him in January if the "big" boys come in for him. That could all depend on which end of the league we are at when it comes to transfer window time.

did anyone hear that text message read out yesterday on RL after the game?

Tommy Wright scored for Blackpool today,so up yours Levein from Tommy's dad.

or something like that.

a bit out of order i thought...

One presumes the Wright decision was not personal, purely football based, and on that basis the text message was ill considered. ;)

I heard it, and thought it was disgraceful, CL is the one manager who puts his faith in younger players, so for Tommy not to have made the grade surely shows that Tommy doesnt possess the attributes to become a successful championship striker.

What I find the most galling about the text, was that Tommy scored his goal at a lower level, so it proves absolutely nothing. Maybe CL should text Tommy's dad replying that De Vries had scored twice .....in the championship !

What a cracking goal it was!
Fair play to him.

I heard the text message and thought it was abit harsh. He clearly isnt wanted at lcfc by CL and his dad should except that. Good luck to the lad for scroing. but his dad was out of order IMO.

i think the wright family are suffering from delusions of grandeur, he ain't no good. if he left for a smaller club i'm sure everyone would wish him luck, but the way they're going, he's gonna be booed if he turns up again

Douglas 8 3 great saves kept us in it

Maybury 7 Good performance, thought he was a bit quiet second half

johansson 7 did ok, pretty solid

Dublin 8 Cleared everything up, good orginizer

Sheehan 6 Shakey to begin with, a lot of stray passes and hit and hopes, but improved as the game went on

Hughes 9 Outstanding, pure class, good to have him back

Williams 7 Very quiet in the second half, needs to get stuck in a bit more

gudjonsson 6 not his best game today, gave the ball away to many times

Hammond 7 Good pace, works very hard

Sylla 7 loves to take players on, shows a bit of silky skill which entertains the crowd, great crosser of the ball

De Vris 8 That's the way to do it!!! Fantastic performance, another 30+ of them and we'll be laughing all the way to the prem

Just a couple of thoughts:
1. How the hell do we know it was actually his dad, could have been just somebody playing a joke or a fan pissed off he never got a chance.
2. Why did RL bother reading out such utter crap anyway?:102:
