Hi everyone, can the people who went to the Wigan game please leave their ratings here. The team was:

Taylor
Makin
Tiatto
Dabizas
Keown
Gillespie
Stewart
Nalis
Gudjonsson
Scowcroft
Connolly

Subs:
Morris
Gemmill
Blake

Lets get as many as possible before I announce the results on Monday evening.

Taylor 6 not a lot to do
Makin 3 poor passing no bite
Tiatto 7 ok worked hard
Dabizas 3 sillys fouls & no pace
Keown 6 ok commanded the back quite well
Gillespie 6 ok getting better
Stewart 7 ok
Nalis 4 didnt turn up
Gudjonsson 6 average
Scowcroft 6 hmm
Connolly 6 just not cutting it

Subs:
Morris 7 must start next match
Gemmill 6 ok
Blake 7 unlucky with the pen

Taylor 7 tall
Makin 3 slow
Tiatto 7 mentalist
Dabizas 3 dumb
Keown 7 beautiful
Gillespie 6 improving
Stewart 5 clueless
Nalis 6 invisible
Gudjonsson 6 daft
Scowcroft 8 tryer
Connolly 6 grafter

Subs:
Morris 8 lively
Gemmill 4 bye
Blake 8 gulp

Two things worth mentioning about yesterday, Blake actually looked sharp (shock, horror) and the Wigan fan opposite us waving betting slips everytime Gillespie went past.

Player Ratings

Taylor 6 - wasnt tested but gave the defence confidence just by being there!

Makin 5 - very average, Canero cant be much good.

Stewart - 6 Defensively sound, got forward ok in first half only.

Dabizas - 7 Apart from a couple of silly pushes he was very solid.

Keown -8 Controlled the defence well (Roberts/Ellington??) still in his pocket.

Gillespie -6 One good cross, not good enough.

Gudjohnson - 7 broke up their attacks well, defensively good but needs someone close to him so he doesnt need to pass it far.

Nalis -5 had a lot of the ball but created nothing, get Williams in there quick.

Tiatto - 6 got forward well in the first half, tried hard, good captain and for once never got booked!

Scowcroft -5 was he playing? missed our best chance first half.

Connolly -5 my biggest dissappointment, what the hell is wrong with him, scored loads for all previous teams!

Morris -6 didnt get enough of the ball, worth a start.

Gemmill -5 ran about a lot without getting involved.

Blake -5 still fat but wanted the ball and at least tried.

Lavein *8* - tactically correct, snubbed out their dangermen, even playing average Jewell said we were one of the best teams theyve played, future is looking better.

Taylor 7 - Not a lot to do, but what he had to do was done well, defence seemed more confident.

Makin 5 - Seems to panic when under pressure and doesnt offer enough to warrant a starting place.

Dabizas 7 - Reasonably solid, only gave away a couple of needless free kicks.

Keown 8 - Absolute class, anyone who doubts this man's ability or desire should watch a video of this match.

Stewart 7 - Defensively very solid has come on leaps and bounds under Levein. Just needs to work on getting forward and having a go at the opposition full back.

Gillespie 6 - Worked hard but with little end product, 2 decent crosses throughout is not good enough.

Nalis 5 - Worked hard in midfield but passing was very poor although may not have been helped by what looked to be a poor surface.

Gudjonsson 6 - Again worked hard and battled for everything, breaks up play well, but when in possesion is too hurried and often picks out the wrong pass.

Tiatto 6 - Not at his best going forward, but again worked hard for the cause.

Scowcroft 6 - Some of his hold up play was good, and again worked very hard but rarely threatned.

Connolly 6 - Disappointing, works hard and always makes himself available for the ball, but his best work is being done outside the box and we need him in the box finishing chances, again rarely threatned.

Subs

Morris 6 - Never really got into the game, although did have one effort just over the bar and seemed unlucky with penalty appeal.

Blake 7 - What a transformation, looked lively and a real handful. Played well.

Gemmill 6 - Did ok but IMO not worth keeping on, would have preferred Williams on bench instead.

Levein 8 - Picked a side designed to keep things tight and make it difficult for Wigan, good result and a battling performance, just lacks penetration in final third of pitch but that will come.

Taylor 5 Looked shaky
Makin 3 Awful (where was Canero)
Tiatto 6 Loses the ball too often at the moment
Dabizas 7 Suprisingly well done
Keown 7 Usual
Gillespie 6 Missed Canero
Stewart 4 Not his best game
Nalis 6 Quiet
Gudjonsson 8 Superb in defence
Scowcroft 6 didnt do much
Connolly 6 ditto

Subs:
Morris 6 looks a handful, start him please
Gemmill 7 he is trying
Blake 8 looked good, tried hard - no honestly

No player ratings from me (because I didn't make the trip due to a bad case of the liquid shites) but can I ask a couple of questions - I noticed Heath didn't play. Why was this? I'm not a fan of him really but it seems odd that he didn't play. Also, did Williams not pass a fitness test? I'm sure he was back in contention for this game.
