Pleasure Island at Cleethorpes has been closed down
and staff only found out when they turned up for work!!

It is not known why the park has shut. Efforts by BBC News to contact the park's owner have been unsuccessful.

North East Lincolnshire Council said it was in talks with the company to secure the park's future.

Each worker received a letter from Melanie Wood, Pleasure Island's director, which said the company was terminating their employment, "effectively immediately".
