PNE PLAYERS

Does anyone know the last player we purchased from PNE? I cannot remember any, but a PNE friend tells me there have been many!

Gavin Ward came to us from Cardiff and played for PNE only 9 years after he left us.

The last club that Scot Gemill played for before he came to the Walkers was PNE --- but we signed him from Everton; he was only on loan at PNE

Billy McKinlay was released by Preston a year before he came to us, but he had played for Clydebank in the intervening period.

Other than that I can't remember a single one in the past 20 years - and certainly not one who has come straight from Preston.

Frank O'Farrell and Gordon Milne were PNE players in the 50s, but I don't supppose that there many of board that even recognise the names as two of our former managers!
