I dont know what any of this means, but at the start of the season i predicted we would get 68pts. Although City are already 1pt ahead of what I have predicted so far

You decide whether you think we will get below 67 points or above 69 points then you place a stake.Your winnings are calculated by how many points we finish with.
E.G You elect to sell at 67 for a tenner stake and we finish with 63,then you win £40
At least I think thats how its done.Never much bothered with Spread Betting,tend to ignore it and most punters in Betting Shops do

You forget to mention (or didn't know) that if we were to finish on 70 points, you would lose £30 - not just £10.

I forgot,like I said I don't pay much attention to it.In 18 odd years of working in a Betting Shop I don't think I took more than 3 Spread Bets.People tend to like to know beforehand just how much they are going to win or lose
