Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

We finish 10th on 69 points = seven points out of the play-off places.

Southampton and West Ham automatically promoted. Reading, Birmingham, Hull and Cardiff in the play-offs.

I personally think Reading will get that second spot and as a result I can see West Ham staying in this league for a second season, as I don't think they'll succeed in the play-offs.

Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

I have us in 5th after 41 games, and staying there. 3rd West Ham 4th Brum 6th Blackpool

I've predicted we win our next six games, they're all winnable but it's not likely. Is it?
I had us 5th as well at that stage and eventually ended up 4th on superior goal difference with West Ham missing out on automatic promotion. Hull and Brighton level on points on 73 got in the Play-offs with Cardiff Birmingham Middlesbrough and Leeds a point behind that

Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

I predicted a few wins for us, we get within 1 point of the playoffs but then we fall away again and finish 10th 6 points off.

Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

Put your predictions in here and tell us where we finish - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm

I have the following top of the table:
POS TEAM PTS GD
1 Southampton 95 +47
2 Reading 87 +32
3 West Ham 82 +22
4 Cardiff 78 +13
5 Hull 74 +13
6 Leicester 71 +17
7 Birmingham 70 +21
8 Blackpool 70 +12

And that's with us losing 2 and drawing 1 of our away games. But picking up Maximum points at home. But it does all come down to the last game and it's not in our own hands so......

But the good news is Portsmouth, Cov and Forest all go down :)

Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

8th with 71. Forest, Cov and Doncaster to go down.....utterly unbelievable table though, so it doesn't bode well for my future in the Prediction League.

Re: Leicester 2 Hull 1

Pessimistic only 7 points from 8 games

Ah, there's method in my madness: if all these optimistic Johnnies are a point, or two out, they will be disappointed. Quite a modest return and they'll be doing better than I thought!

Seriously, I can see a few banana skins - starting with tonight!

Good work Jeff!

I should add that my predictions included two defeats against P'boro and of course, Ipswich away!! As much as I want us to be able to sneak in this year we've just had too many silly results already but still, very promising for next year providing there is little change over the summer.
