New team
Prediction League Management Committee is happy to announce the arrival of a new team in the Chumps League. Scodger Cubs will take over the fixtures of gregs_y2k who have not so far submitted any predictions this season and are the lowest placed team in the Chumps League.

gregs_y2k is welcome to join in again at any time.


Protests
I'm happy to receive 'protests' about the marking of the Prediction League fixtures (or anything else). However I don't want to be hanging on to lists of predictions for ever. At the moment, I keep your PMs but I am reaching the maximum number that can be stored. For this reason, I'm going to put a deadline on 'protests'.

In future your PMs will be deleted a fortnight after the completion of any game and I will not be able to deal with 'protests' about the scoring of them any later than that. In practice this will make no difference - very few 'protests' have ever been received and all of them have been within this limit.

i know this is a few days old, but not sure about letting a new team take over one who doesnt submit their predictions. If someone has not been submitting their predictions its given the teams who have played them almost guaranteed wins against them, and i think its only fair if other people get a chance to play people who dont submit their predictions too.

Basically, is it fair, if only some Premiership sides had the chance to play Stoke or WBA, or Hull or Portsmouth in their current form and others dont?

Nothing against brinign a new player, just dont think they should replace a no submitter.

mmmm - I wonder if it's fair that some teams might have to face Wayne Brown in City's defence when other teams didn't earlier in the season?

Have you got any other suggestion about how new players can be brought in without them replacing non-submitters? Or should I be telling them that they will have to wait for next season?

When a team does not submit predictions, the other team wins by default. I say if someone fails to predict say 3 times he is kicked off, and all the previous games they have been in should be nil and void

Thats completely un-comparable. We're talking about a default win here, youre not going to automatically win just because one player is different

And as alternative options, think maybe one option is to either wait til 2 new teams come in, or play one match each week with 3 teams like you did in the cup and give 2pts for a win 1.5pts for 2nd and 1pt for 3rd or something

Hey, i know :icon_wink I was just putting forward the idea that it seems a bit unfair, but its boc's decision not mine, im not gonna stop playing or do a Shay Given if someone with n o submissions gets replaced
