I doubt if anyone still bothers with it but they went to a mid term break and now it seems have scrapped it half way through the series. I can see this happening with Lost.

I still bother with it and have seen a 30 second preview trailer from Fox which states that the extra 6 episodes are coming in the 'Spring'.

Have you got a source for this worrying information?

It was on radio leicester on the way to work last friday.

Damn. Must be true then. Thanks.

Being facetious! FOX says it is returning April 17th - hurray!

Tv.com doesn't have the next episode scheduled. I was surprised when they stopped.

Watched the first two series then thought enough is enough.

Yanks seem to have the notion of kicking a good idea to death, Lost, Dexter, Prison Break etc. Maybe it's just the mentality of the viewers overthere....

Watched the second serires of 24 recently on DVD, that was good, but apparently that also is starting to lose it's appeal.

Should've followed Basil Fawlty's example or even the prisoner.

That started to lose its appeal to me in the second series when they seemed to lose interest in the whole 'real time' thing and made it so unrealistic it was getting ridiculous. I can believe Jack Bauer is capable of amazing things, but he can't stop time.

I watched the third and fourth series as I'd bought the box set of the first four, but only watched a few episodes of series five before giving up.

We lost interest a bit during series 6. We assumed it was because we watched it on tv (not back to back). We then watched the box set and realised we were wrong.

It follows the Baltimore Police dept. and their investgation into drug dealing and associated crimes. It's more interesting than it sounds - as each series is seen through another point of view (first series is set mostly in a council estate, second series the shipyards, fourth series a school [I enjoyed that one the most]). The characters generally remain the same and appear in and out of episodes. It's difficult to explain and (watch - subtitles might be needed for some). You feel for the drugdealers and hate the cops. Stringer Bell is the don. There's also a storyline very similar to Obama becoming president.

Averages 9.7 on imdb.com

Final few episodes are starting up again now.

I loved this program but couldn't really get into episode 17 in the same way as the others. Maybe it's been too long a break or maybe the magic has worn off.

I think it's going a bit too far now. I have watched since the beginning but it's gettin boring IMO.
