I am considering changing the players name but we play at the Brauny Bowl aka 'Louis II Stadium'.
In a nice light yellow and green combination, away kit red and black stripes with a Maroon keepers kit.
Division 2 has Sheff Utd, Reading, Charlton, Watford, Preston NE, Brum and Wigan.
Played 3 games....
Braunstone Rovers 1 Reading 1
Lita scored in the 9th minute after a goalkeeping mix-up and Reading dominated much of the first half. A much-improved second half from the Brauny seen numerous chances but it wasnt until the 79th minute when Dodo set Espimas free to cross to the Brazilian Castolo who headed home.
Braunstone Rovers 1 Wigan Athletic 2
Another slow start from Brauny left them with everything to do. Henri Camara's powerful header opening the scoring after Ivanov's superb save from the goalscorer. It gave Brauny a wake-up who just 9 minutes later equaliser. The wing-back Macco's fierce, low cross was fumbled by Kirkland and it fell into Huylens' path who dived-headed home. Camara would continue to be Brauny's undoing, his acrobatic scissors kick from 20 yards out doubled his tally for the afternoon. Despite Brauny's best efforts, an equaliser couldn't be found and it took a superb tip around the post from Ivanov to stop Camara's attempt at a hat-trick in injury time,
Sheffield United 1 Braunstone Rovers 1
Steve Kabba's 3rd minute goal again meant Brauny were coming from behind. Apart from the goal, Brauny dominated preceedings at Bramell Lane with Paddy Kenny's string of saves keep the Blades ahead. The breakthrough did come in the second half, Castolo's cool and calm finish into the bottom corner after great work from Miranda made the scores level. Brauny began to push for a winner and a golden chance for Huylems led to a weak shot and a simple save.
We're 7th with 2 points. Preston next and then Reading in the Cup. Desperately, need to get some money to gain to bring some new faces in.
