Thats including via The Playoffs by the way
Obviously, you said it's a price for promotion...:icon_roll ;)

is there now a way of betting that it doesn't happen? is that what bet fair does?:102:
I wonder what that price would be?

Why didn't you look rather than wonder?

I've just looked on betfair and the odds on Leicester not going up are currently 1/7, ie you put £7 on to win a pound.

because I'm a lazy fecker and I wasn't even sure if that was the right place.
7/1 on is an awful price, way off the mark....

i'm sticking £60 on us going up next season, 10 on winning it and 50 on promotion..........look forward to a small windfall

What do you think it should be then?
well, in a big division, where they are offering odds as short as 6/1 for us to go up, I would think that 3/1 on would be more realistic.
But you don't see a poor bookie very often.....:102:

If they offered those odd you could put money on both and make a profit!

If they're offering 6/1 on promotion, they have to offer odds of worse than 1/6 on not getting promoted.

You would if you worked for them...If you go 3/1 not to gain promotion and 6/1 to gain promotion then the punter can't lose:icon_roll

Sorry Jeff didn't see you'd already pointed out MK's 'mistake'...

3/1 on I said....
you'd about break even if you did both, which would be pointless, however more people would be attracted to have a punt.

I was pointing that out for other less friendly with the Betting Terms,I maybe should not have used your quote sorry.

But in the end Bookmakers are in it to make money, the odds will always be in thier favour and people will always gamble regardless:102:.90% of punters are Mug Punters.
Incidentally the odds for Promotion aren't particulary attractive but they never are IMO.

We know what you said, but you're still wrong!

At 3/1 on to not get promoted, and 6/1 to get promoted, you could do the following:

£15 on not to get promoted - returning £20 for a win
£3 on promotion - returning £21 for a win

So for an outlay of £18 you're guaranteeing at least £20 back. There's no way the bookies would offer odds like this where the punter can guarantee themselves a win.

i know: "negativity will not get you promoted" but i dont think we have a chance of getting promoted this season, in fact if we do i will give £50 to a charity of webbo's choice. Of course id love it if we did get promoted realistically we have not got a chance, we will be lucky to finish in the top 8-12.

I'll bet you £20 we finish inside the top 12
