I've had my laptop for about 9 months, and today I've suddenly had the following pop up appear when I open IE.
At first I misread it and thought it was microsoft just making sure my version of vista was pukka, so clicked 'allow' - thought nothing more of it, but now every time I open new IE or and new browser tab the fecking message pop ups.
I've tried to google the message im getting, but I cannot make head nor tail of what it's all saying.
I checked with Boc and his Protected Mode is 'ON' and doesn't get the same pop up. If I turn my protected mode to 'OFF' the message disappears, but I then get another one telling me my computer is at risk.
If I click details on the pop up, I get this: c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe :icon_conf
I could tick the do not show me this message again, but I was unsure as I had never seen the pop up before and didn't want to just dismiss is.
I have ran AVG and Adaware and they have not found any virus's or spyware.
If it helps, my operating software is Vista Home Basic.
Thanks in advance.
