A lad at work (not me honest) has been viewing a bit of johnny vaughn on the internet he now has an invoice downloaded for £40 .He hasnt joined any club or given his address but may have given an email addy
Can they track him through an ip addy or is it a scam.They are called microbill systems. Any ideas ?

He will have clicked through on a popup that has installed this type of adware/ransomware on his PC and it will keep serving him with an electronic invoice until he pays up to have it removed.

There was a lot of discussion a couple of months back as to how legal or not this system is.

But he will have been prompted before it installs itself & he hasn't read the terms & conditions before clicking to agree to it.
A lot of people have been caught out by it & it's generally used by porn sites.

It will also, ventualy, prevent him from gaining any access to the Internet. I tried removing it from my brother in laws pc and in the end had to reformat it.

You could try looking HERE , scroll down to the entry from "fhiufhyrefyer". seems to have worked for some people.
