Stronger than I’d have liked (which sounds odd), but hopefully we can get a couple of goals and then make some subs.

4-1-4-1 again. 4th game in a row suggests that BR has either reflected on his constant changes in formation himself or someone has had words with him.

I’ve always liked our setup when we play with that shape, so I’m happy with it.

And it probably explains why we've gone strong. The more that players get used to a system the better they should be able to thrive in it. In a game like this when there should be no real pressure, they can continue to hone their craft as it were.

I like it - don't play until Tuesday and it is vital that we don't mess up.

Surely with this line up we should maintain the advantage.

Grab a couple of first half goals then take off some key players. Kill it early i think is the strategy.

Is this 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1?

We don't play again until Tuesday. We are trying to play our way into some kind of form. I understand his approach.
Me too. The system needs to be understood properly so that each of them know their role. It has been abundantly clear this season that players are often shoehorned into a new system and haven't the first clue how to approach what has been asked of them.

Practising this against an opposition that will offer very little means that the pressure is slightly relieved and the players can express themselves without fear a little more.

Of course, if we **** it up with a line up that strong, then……

A vaguely interesting point.

Puel was sacked three years ago today. Of the 'strong' starting eleven, nine of them were here under Puel.

I expected a strongish lineup but surprised to see it so strong (at least in terms of who we've got available...). The midfield 3 being the main surprise.

At least we've rested Soyuncu. Maybe he felt the rest of the team had to be strong to rest Cags. Is a 3 goal lead really enough with Vestergaard and Amartey as centre backs?

Have it done and dusted by half time and then make the full five subs
