The booking MDV got for speaking an official was nothing with the usual Dickov shit and as you say no booking. Why he doesn't speak only in Dutch to the officials is beyond me. After all he could always say that he was telling the linesman what a good job he was doing. ;-) :mrgreen:

The ref wasnt great but we cant blame him. We didnt make the most of the chances we had. We passed the ball around well and should have managed to get on or two more shots in.

CL should have brought on Hughes and DC sooner for a more atracking aspect to match when we started to take control around 60 mins

The ref was shocking and whilst I agree with Scarboro in some way with the fact we didnt shoot enough or threaten the Blackburn goal, however there were a number of instances when we were in decent positions and MDV should have been awarded free kicks which we could have capatilised on. Also good to see the Ref sticking to the FA directive perhaps you are allowed to yell at least 100 expletives at the ref without being even spoken to if your name is Paul Dickov the guy was a bottler.

Also the tackle or kung foo kick by Flitcroft on Williams mid riff in my opinion was a shocker and should not have gone unpunished.

i have been concerned about the standard of reffing in this country for a while, but barry of the 'burn' was particularly bad yesterday, get collina to the uk as quickly as possible, he is quality....oh yes (ol' scary eyes), remember in the england turkey game when he had steam coming off his head????, he looked like satan!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D
