Scot Back Between The Sticks
Goalkeeper Rab Douglas played for City's reserves on Tuesday night in their 2-0 defeat at the hands of league-leaders Tottenham Hotspur.
Douglas' return from an injury lay-off looks to be nearing an end as he got a full 90 minutes under his belt at the Marston's Stadium.
Spurs' goals came late in each half as Leicester lost their first home game since January.
Though the Premiership side put on most of the pressure early on, the Foxes could have opened the scoring in spectacular fashion on 19 minutes had Max Gradel been able to volley Joe Hamill's inch-perfect cross cleanly.
Former Forest midfielder Andy Reid snatched the advantage for the visitors in the 43rd minute, blasting home an unstoppable piledriver.
Gradel bamboozled the Tottenham defense thoughout his part in the contest with neat step-overs, but it was Hamill who had City's two best chances of the match. Set-up by a piece of Gradel skill, the young Scotsman hit the bar from the edge of the box just prior to halftime, then struck a fine volley from a similar distance eight minutes into the second period which deflected just wide.
With three minutes of normal time remaining, Lee Barnard popped up at the far post to make the score 2-0 and rule out any chance of a Foxes fightback.
