I suppose it's a stupid question to ask if anyone else is thinking about going?

From the OS:

Leicester City's second string travel to Morecambe tonight in the semi-final of the Pontin's League Cup (kick off 7pm).

The Foxes finished runners up in Group 2 to set up the tie, and will face either West Bromwich Albion or Barnsley in the final should they see off the Shrimps.

Goalkeeper Rab Douglas starts in goal while City's youngsters will be looking to impress ahead of the Dallas Cup tournament next week.

City: Douglas, O'Neill, Beswick, Garner, Rowe-Turner, Burns, Bori, Kishishev, McKay, King, Lackzo
Subs: Watson, Pentney, Cobb, Howard

From the Morecambe OS - it's a big game for them!

MORECAMBE Reserves face perhaps their biggest game of the season on Wednesday night at Christie Park when they meet Leicester City in the semi-final of the Pontin's Holiday League Cup.

Jeff Udall's side have excelled in their first season in the competition and face one of their biggest tests yet against Leicester's second string.

The Shrimps' chief executive Rod Taylor is urging Shrimps' fans to get down to the game and cheer on the side.

He said: "This is another big game for the club and it would be great to see as many supporters as possible at Christie Park getting behind the lads.

"Jeff's side have played some great football this season and have enjoyed some great victories in a very competitive league.''

The game kicks off at 7pm with admission costing just £4 or £2 for concessions.

The other semi-final sees West Brom face Barnsley.

Morecambe in the rain, watching Reserve Team football.....exactly how sad would you have to be to have slumped that low ?

Have you never met Jeff?

I'm wondering whether I should have mentioned it at all, in case Fludie decides to go.

You mentioned it about a fortnight ago. Fludie's plans for the evening are all in place.

Is that Steve Howard on the bench? :icon_razz

I have actually,I take it he is going

It's on his door-step, surely!
:icon_wink

Seriously though, a couple of months ago I was feeling that I should get me statutory trips to Morecambe and Dagenham sorted out but it now looks as though they will be around for another year.

IMO we will not see the best of Howard until we have a player in the side who can get to the byline and send over a decent cross,I'd play Howard upfront with either Hume or Fryatt.

If I do go it will be mainly because I've not been there before, It's the closest English league ground I've not been to.

150 miles for a reserve game does seem to be just a little bit sad though, so I've not made my mind up yet.
