Not many here will have heard of him. Was coach at Filbert Street with Matt Gillies in the 60s. Moved with Gillies to F!"£$t where he was responsible for bringing Martin O'Neill into the English game.

Died in an Evington nursing home, aged 93.
 
I believe that he was the coach responsible for the Graham Cross era when we played 4-3-3 with Cross playing with No9 on his back but as a " holding midfield " player with McLintock and David Gibson as the creative two in midfield, this was in the winter of the big freeze 1962 / 63. RIP
 
Not quite before my time, so RIP too.
