Tim Lovejoy has quit TV show Soccer AM after 10 years, it was announced today.
The move will bring to an end his long-running partnership with co-host Helen Chamberlain.
The Sky Sports show is a Saturday morning staple for football fans.
Lovejoy, 39, is believed to be developing a new celebrity show with Simon Fuller's 19 TV.
A Sky Sports spokesman said: "We can confirm that Tim Lovejoy has left Sky Sports.
"Tim notified us that he'd like a change of direction in his career and it is a decision that we understand.
"He leaves with our very best wishes for the future and we would like to thank him for his hard work throughout his time with Sky Sports."
Chamberlain will continue to present Soccer AM and a new co-host will be announced soon.
Lovejoy currently hosts BBC2 magazine show Something For The Weekend.
He has also co-presented Five's motoring show Fifth Gear and interviewed David Beckham for an ITV1 documentary last year.
