I have never heard of such a high figure for a manager and staff. Is this unusually high?

Seems to be money well spent IMO, when compared with the prices and impact of players.

I don't know why this is news. It was widely reported at the time and Rodgers himself referenced that the club had paid £9m to get him at the fans Q&A.

I wasn't aware that Rodgers had confirmed the value himself. I find it interesting to have a confirmed figure, particularly that it is high compared to others I have heard of.

£6 million was reported at the time which is probably accurate for just Brendan. £8.8 million is for the whole team.
