Rodgers future...

Fair play to the chap. I was seriously questioning him at one point. Perhaps that big fat contract isn't so bad afterall.

BRs PL Record:

18/19 Pld 10 W5 D2 L3 P17
19/20 Pld 38 W18 D8 L12 P62
20/21 Pld 22 W13 D3 L6 P42

Total: Pld 70 W36 D13 L21 P121 (win rate 51%)

For a Leicester manager to have gone through almost two top flight seasons with a win rate over 50% is exceptional. Especially as he's spent nothing in the transfer market (net) due to losing half of England's back four.

And yet this thread exists as there was a feeling by some that we could happily get rid earlier in the season

There also seemed a lot who thought he was a certain bet to be first to be sacked and backed it.

And us going down too!

I'm not saying they were right btu you do remember how shit we were at the end of last season right?
The last time we took such clear form into a season we maintained it quite well for the 38 games as well...

I've often said that I think Leicester are a 60 point a season squad.

We are not as strong as at least 6 other squads and maybe as many as 8.

Our wage bill and transfer budget put us mid table. However I think we should do a bit better than mid table because we're run better than most clubs and we have Vardy.

So I judge our managers by this standard. BR is averaging 66 points a season so he's doing a cracking job.

People like Puel were down around 50 points and that just wasn't good enough. If we get less than 15 points from any run of 10 matches, our manager should come under pressure.

We picked up 9 points from our last 10 games last season so it was absolutely right that questions were asked. BR has responded brilliantly though.

If you remove the post lockdown period from BRs record, he's on a 71 point average.

Do you remember how many players we were missing? And how often we had to play games??

Post lockdown was very different and whilst results were disappointing, there were reasons for it.

I prefer to look at the bigger picture though and over his whole time here, BR has been nothing other than a success.

No one would have expected us to be competing for the CL last season at the start of it, its seems people blissfully ignore our much more consistent over achievement and focus on our much shorter dips in over achievement.

Rangers supporters online are currently saying that Gerrard "saw off" Rodgers as Lennon is leaving. I thought Celtic fans were delusional but this is utterly unparalleled and hilarious.

So does losing in Europe mean we get to hang into him for abit longer?

I think it shows where his limits are. Still a fantastic manager for us, but it will make the biggest clubs look elsewhere I think.

Only by idiots imo as we're still punching above our weight.

I think there are more likely to be serious questions with regards to Vardy the longer his poor form continues.
