A tough fixture on the 11th October 2015 for Argentina according to the website. They are taking on the whole of Africa.

The most pointless waste of time tournament in the history of sport.6 ****ing weeks to whittle down a field 90% composed of teams with **** all chance of winning. How anyone stays awake long enough to care I'll never know.Pissed me right off last time as i had the most ridiculously easy money making opportunity in the history of sports betting but had to wait through 6 weeks of utter boredom to cash in.

& who in the name of **** is going to pay £150 to watch Nobody v Nobody Else?

Jesus.

Funnily enough, there is a similar tournament in Brazil next year.

Hmm, not quite as top-heavy though is it? Looking at the FIFA rankings, I see that France are 19th. Even so, I'd say they have a good chance of getting to at least the quarter finals next year, if not better. The IRB website has Russia 19th in its rankings. If they even qualify, what do you think their chances are of winning a single game? Pretty close to zero I'd say.

Agreed, the gulf in class between the top and lower teams in rugby is more evident than football and football always throws up one team that over performs, however I still wouldnt look much further than a handful of teams that could win the FIFA World Cup, similar to Rugby.

I am going to Cardiff today. I think I'll support Uruguay as no one else there will be.

Is there another thread on the rugby that I've missed or is no one here interested at all?

South Africa vs Japan was a cracking game yesterday.
