New signing Peter Gilbert will make his Leicester City debut in the friendly clash against Rushden & Diamonds on Wednesday evening (7:45pm).
The 21-year-old, who joined the Foxes from Plymouth on Monday, has been named in a young City squad to take on the League Two side at their Nene Park home.
Gilbert will travel to the game with the likes of Richard Stearman, Alan Sheehan, Tommy Wright and Chris O'Grady as boss Craig Levein uses his side's penultimate pre-season match to run the rule over some of his younger players.
Levein said: "We are going to play a lot of the younger lads at Rushden now because the game against Inter took an awful lot out of us. It will be a young squad, but there will also be a few first team players involved as well."
Fans have been impressed with City's high tempo approach to matches during the pre-season game, and it will be no different against Rushden.
He added: "We will be playing with that style every game now because it is the way we are going to start the season. That will be the same at all levels all the way through the club."
Tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults, £7 concessions and £2 for accompanied under 16s.
City squad: LOGAN, GILBERT, STEARMAN, WRIGHT, CANERO, SHEEHAN, O'GRADY, DODDS, PORTER, GRAHAM, SMEDLEY, LYCETT, FRANKLIN, MUGGLETON, NORVALL, WYKES, CISAK.
