As has been said before, this is 2001/2002 - RVN is 'Harry'. Would happily take a Mickey Adams right now, at least he got us promoted.

A replacement? If RvN was to go I reckon we'd likely end up with Gary O'Neil. I bet there'd be some deluded souls complaining that we didn't get Iraola, 'cos we're a "bigger club than Bournemouth."

Iraola will go to Spurs in the summer.

Which means he'll be back in Spain inside 2 years.

If we go down & try to get O'Neil he'd more than likely laugh at us & put the phone down & he'd be right to do so. Nobody is taking this job except a desperate journeyman or a young untried type.

Same goes for the profile of the players we'll be signing for the next few years. It's over & we're back where we started. It's been a decade & we & Forest have swapped places again.

We're going back to the days when being a City fan was about celebrating individual great days during a season when we manage to put one over a decent side. Nuggets of achievement.
There'll be no more trophies, no more european adventures, no more national attention or headlines.
Just getting a hard fought draw against a big club in a cup tie before getting battered in the replay. Or getting a promotion. Or surviving a relegation scrap.

It's who we are. We throw opportunities away every single ****ing time. We did it under Gillies, we did it with the team Bloomfield built, we did it after O'Neill left, we're doing it again now. The process of chucking it all away started 5 minutes after we lifted the FA Cup.
We're going down & we won't be back for a long time. The best we can hope for is that it won't be as long as last time. The club needs gutting completely & rebuilding from the ground up AND getting rid of everyone at the top too. Young players, young managers, new faces. It'll be hard work & at times it'll be horrific. There will be embarrassments & hammerings aplenty.
But our kids might see us do something noteworthy again. I doubt we will.

Went to a comedy show a few years ago. It was for amateur comedians. Occasionally some of them said something that resonated and got a good laugh. A lot of the time it was flat.

The ‘headline’ guy couldn’t make it, but randomly in the crowd to enjoy these wannabe breakthrough acts was Bobby Davro. He stepped in and although I’d never been a fan, his aura and everything he said completely unrehearsed was funny and captivating. Miles above anything else the whole evening.

The difference I suppose is experience. Some of those comedians might one day be able to take a whole crowd on a journey, but at their stage there were more misses than hits.

We got lucky with Enzo, crapped out with Cooper, and badly need a Bobby Davro right now. Not the literal Bobby Davro. There’s enough comedy on the pitch.
I think Bobby Davro would be a good shout. We've had enough amateur comedians, we should try a professional one.

Frank Lampard’s Leicester City has a nice ring to it 😀
I wouldn’t step away from Cov to come to Leicester. I think he’ll get them promoted tbh. He’s a decent Championship manager. Of course that’s where it stops. But yeh. That’s his level

Miserable sod.

I probably agree with most of this, though.

I think the “fear” inside of me says everything you’ve said in that post.

But the “foxes never quit” side of me shuts it out.

Only time will tell. I think we could very easily collapse, but also, could very much rescue things but something’s gotta change.

I think I'd stop supporting us.

Terry was shortlived and only backroom staff but christ knows that took a major 'look the other way' from me. To actually appoint Dullard would probably have me walking. I want no part.

It’s alright Dullard will be beating us next season with Cov. Especially with our collection of gutless sods

Yesterday I think was genuinely one those performances that the players deserved to be given shit for. And I don't normally believe in giving players shit.

There was one very short ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ song when the third went in

Other than that a couple of mild anti-Rudkin songs and a load of daft ****s singing about not selling Knockaert and how expensive Leo Ulloa was

Nobody cares any more
