Didn't like Strangelove.

I watched The Big lebowski after much recomendations recently, was massively dissapointed.

Children of Men - Many had described it as one of the films of the year, it must have been a very slow year. 6/10

P.S. I've just ordered Dr. Strangelove on DVD, I'm expecting a lot...

I think Children Of Men is superb for a Hollywood Blockbuster....cinematography in it is superb for a Scf-fi film.

Not expect much from Strangelove, I feel its very restricted for a Kubrick film. Plays too much towards Peter Sellers IMO.

Yeah, I want to watch The Big lebowski too. Just saw Fight Club, great twist in the end, pluus it had Tom Waits' Going Out West and The pixies Where Is My Mind??? in it :icon_wink 10/10

Fight Club is very good.

Watched American History X for the first time last week, very powerful, hard to watch in places but excellently handled.

Just watched tonight, bit slow in places but also very, very emotional in places.

3 note worthy scenes.

1) Where Matt Dillon pulls over the Husband & Wife in the car

2) Where Matt Dillon rescues aforementioned wife

3) Where the little girl protects her Dad with her magic coat - Brilliant, emotional scene

What about the bit with the white copper and the chase, I'd say add that bit and you have the 4 best bits of the film. Also, when it's revealed what Dillon's dad did for the local community.

It's a great film, the worst part is the cheese-ridden ending with Stereophonics over the top.

You'll like this film is you have an unhealthy obsession with loathing the police, or just enjoy seeing people get maimed.
Good acting from Sean Bean and Bob Hoskins.
Mindless violence is not my cup of tea, and I defy anybody going to see this not to be shocked.
The storyline was quite weak and in my opinion, barely credible.

Wouldn't know where to begin to give it a rating out of ten :icon_conf
