Watched Borat earlier for the first time.

Some funny moments, but not as funny as the media/my mates made it out to be.

7/10

V for vendetta.

Watched this last week, taken from an Alan Moore DC comic written in the early 80's so lots of references to thatcherism etc but the film has updated it to have links to terrorism. Very good film best I have seen for a long long time 9/10

I also watched it for the first time yesterday.

Very funny but as everyone has been talking about it I felt I knew exactly what was going to happen and that took a bit of enjoyment from it.
Still quality 9/10.

I have also got The Departed to watch on DVD might watch it in a minute.
Has anyone got any views on it?

It's quality.

I watched 'The Ringer' last night, starring Johnny Knoxville who fixed the special olympics. What a pile of piss. Some half-funny moments. 3/10

Went on the DVD bargain hunt at the weekend and got:

3 for £15:-

Forrest Gump 8/10(everyone has seen this but it's still very good)
American Beauty 7/10(decent film)
Nacho Libre 6/10(disappointed, got it coz it was cheap and I haven't seen it)

2 for £10:-

Jackie Brown 9/10(my second favourite Tarantino film. Under-rated)
Napoleon Dynamite 8/10(love this film. Already had it but this was a special edition box so I gave my old one to my Mrs. Earned myself some brownie points)

I'd be hard pushed to give any of those more than 4/10. But a special mention for Jackie Brown, which gets a full 1/10. A film I rented twice and fell asleep watching both times - a record.

Never seen Napoleon Dynamite or Nacho Libre.

I'd rate American Beauty 5/10
Forrest Gump 8/10
Jackie Brown 8/10

Jackie Brown is classic:

I don't rate Napolean Dynamite, it strikes me as a film alot of people only "like" because it is a bit of a cult film. The same as Donnie Darko

Watched "The Break-Up" with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston.

Was pretty good dark comedy, funny in parts and not the Hollywood schmaltz fest I thought it would be.

6.5/10

Outlaw 7/10

Pretty good, Sean Bean is quite good as is Danny Dyer.
Although Dyer is a 1 trick pony.
Nothing too clever but very watchable.

Requiem brings itself back at the end with the double ended scene IMO

Intercut with the old dear receiving electric shocks for manic depression.

I couldn't believe the bum note 'My Name Is Joe' finished on. Then after the scene what depresses you, I was expecting some nice ending with hope at the end of the tunnel. Nope, it swiftly ends.
