You must have a TV show you watched as a kid that you cant remember the name of, well the TBers will help you out.

Ill start: this one has been bugging me for ages!

it was on about 8-10 years ago i think! i believe it was shown on friday nights and rom what i remember it was about a boy (teenager) who worked with an older detective on solving cases, im not 100% but i think it had something to do with him tracking down his mother or something.
For ages i believed the older dectitive to be Chris lloyd (Doc, from Back to the Future) but after checking IMDB i cant find any programme that resembles this.

Anybody remember this programme?

Based on the popular children's book, Idaville had its own pint sized detective, Leroy "Encyclopedia" Brown. Along with his partner Sally Kimball, they solve cases to help out his dad, Chief Brown, while trying to steer clear from town bully Bugs Meany.

the last date aired was 1990, which would have made me 5 so unless it was repeated 5 or so years later i dont think it was.

The 1990 date is for the US, it may have been on several years later in this country.
