How do you guys rate the players performances this season?

1. Chris Weale - Took a while to get going, but has made some cracking saves and been our first full-"proper" keeper since Walker (given that Fulop was only on loan). 8
2. Robbie Neilson - Ehhhh. 3
3. Ryan McGivern - 3
4. Michael Morrison - Has improved no end as a player. His positional skills are exceptional *Insert comment about his giant todger here :icon_lol:*. 8.
5. Aleksander Tunchev - Feel for him. Hope to see him back next season. N/A
6. Wayne Brown - Unpredictible. One day, brilliant. Another day, atrocious. 6
7. Nobby Solano - Tried to be too fancy at times. Never really showed his best I fell. 6
8. Matt Oakley - Don't quite dislike him as much as some, but not had a great season either. 6
9. Steve Howard - Came good in the last 5 or 6 games, but up until that looked to be out of his depth. 6.5
10. Andy King - Can't believe how much he's come on as a player. Was unsure about him last season, but been fantastic this season. 8.5
11. Lloyd Dyer - Really came good and was one of our best attacking threats second half of the season. 7.5
12. Matty Fryatt - Up until his injury he was our best player imo. His ball control, dribbling skills and first touch were exquisite. Can't believe this is the same Fryatt who was basically just a goal poacher last season. Hopefully he will be back to that level next season. 8.5
13. Conrad Logan - 6
15. Bruno Berner - Solid as a rock and work his socks off, hard to believe he's 32 with the way his motor keeps on running. 8.5
16. Nicky Adams - 6
17. Dany N'Guessan - Seems to be better as an impact sub. A but like Brown, can be brilliant one game and atrocious the next. 6.5
18. Martyn Waghorn - Has great potential and gives his all. Took a while to get going and tailed off towards the end of the season but an awesome spell mid-season. If he manages to iron his poor temperament and constant giving away of needless fouls out of his game he could become a very good player indeed. 7.5
19. Richie Wellens - A good, solid season. Not quite sure it justified the £1.2mil pricetag though. 7
22. Yann Kermorgant - Still undecided. I hope he comes good. 6
24. Paul Gallagher - Took me a while to "get" him, but once I did, I found him to be one of our most exciting players. I don't really get the "drifts in and out of games" argument either, imo he gets involved and impacts games as much as anyone. 7.5
25. Jack Hobbs - A man machine. Probably our most exciting player since Muzzy. Just hope we can hold onto him. 9
27. James Vaughan - I would have liked to have seen more of him maybe. 6
33. Alex Bruce - 6
34. Jay Spearing - Replaced Oakley well. Looks to have a bright future. 6.5

Just about spot on with that PR.

Wayne himself will tell you, N'Guessan is nothing like Brown.

All these foreigners, coming over here, taking jobs in professional football away from fat, lazy, workshy, white British dole scum. You couldn't make it up etc.

About right, though as we were (in terms of goals) third best at defending and only 9th best at attacking, some of those numbers a bit unfair on some of our back line (even the really crap players).

If Richie is only one point better than Yann, then thank Christ his peno chip against Middlesbrough hit the back of the net, otherw*s* he'd be down there with Robbie presumably. :icon_conf

In the words of Young Mr Grace, You've all done very well! :038:

Very interesting comments that I generally agree with. I would add one or two comments.
It should be emphasized that Morrison had his good season while playing out of position.
Dany has not had the regular starts to show what he can do. This is even more true of Adams. I have been impressed on the few times I have seen him (a couple of home games only) but clearly he does not impress Nigel.
Without knocking him I would not Lloyd Dyer quite as highly as Profondo does.
Gallagher is a strange player He has brilliant moments and has been a match winner. However, every game he gives the ball away far too easily. In those games where he scores brilliant goals he can be forgiven otherw*s* I find him very frustrating.
Waghorn has come in for a battering from centre backs and is a "blood and guts" player. It is to be expected that there will be a bit of temperament at his age and I would guess he will have it under control with a bit more experience.
All credit to Logan. I had heard bad reports about him but when he had his chance against Middlesborough I thought he was superb.
When I first saw Spearing I thought he looked about 12 and like a member of the Bash Street Kids. However, I have become an admirer and I would love to see him with us next year.
In the few games I have seen Vaughan I have thought him very good. Nigel and his staff need to consider whether he is going to be a "sicknote" before signing him.

What has Adams done to impress you so?

Why not? He both creates and scores goals, his pace is a dangerous weapon and his crossing can be incredibly accurate.

Where did you hear these bad reports?

Agreed, very good player.

What have you seen of Vaughan that makes you think he's any different to DJ Campbell?

Personally, I thought Dyer had a fantastic second half to the season, though it took it a while to get going. Wingers are always going to be a bit in and out of games though, which some see as a downside.

Adams:There were incidents last year especially against Lincoln (I think) when Adams showed great bravery outting his head among some flying boots but his technique was often poor. I had heard that his pre-season had been good so was interested when he came on very occasionally and I thought he did well.
I realise that I am judging him on very little evidence.

Dyer: I felt 7.5 might be overly based on his recent performances rather than on the season as a whole. I would not have given him more than 7. But then what is half a point.

Logan: the bad reports were last year and often concerned his weight. He was even described as "fatty Logan." So all credit to him for doing so well when he had his chance.

Vaughan: On his few appearances he has looked dangerous and has seemed to be aware of team-mates in a way DJ was not. Vaughan took a goal with great poise. As for DJ his recent performances have shown he is a good striker - unfortunately I never thought he played that well for Leicester. As with Adams my comment is based on very little pitch time.
