Let's have a look at the general opinion on the above matter.

The ST-O-Meter is in action.

I am about 60% decided against renewal. One year back with a season ticket and the only major benefit I can think of which I don't want to lose his my away priority. It's just a chore and there hasn't been many games at all this season I have looked forward to.

If we're doing percentages I'd say about 60% against also, although I'm not sure how I work that out.
After 16 years of having one I'd like to keep my options open for a Saturday afternoon and maybe even start playing Saturday football as well as Sunday,(If my knees ever improve), and go the matches when I feel like it.

Not sure, I like going with my dad, grandad and uncle and don't want to lose my seat, which is in a good position. However everyone around me is so ****ing morose all the time, as soon as anyone misplaces a pass it's "He's ****ing shit, get rid of him", "This team is the worst I've ever seen". And it's all game, every game. I get no enjoyment at the minute because of the other fans, so not sure whether I can be arsed to shell out for it.

Bit like this forum then.:icon_wink

I will be getting a season ticket for definite again. Next season will be my first not sitting in the Kop though.

Probably not. As much as I've loved going to City over the years, there are many things I can think of right now that look preferable to travelling 400 miles to go to the pub and then leave to watch an often entertainment free game of football and get home just in time for bed

Well last season, with earlier season ticket sales, we were told it secured the signing of Wayne Brown. Maybe this time round we could capture Ryan McGivern, good times.

D'you take your son? It's just that there's a geezer a couple of rows behind us who offers a running commentary, His son pipes up, "Galagher's useless, isn't he, Dad?"

"He's ****ing shit, son."

Made me laugh, even though I thought Galagher did seem to offer the best chance of breaking down Doncaster's defence (despite mostly having a shit game).

I have a family like that in front of me,infact last week someone reported the dad and he was told off by the stewards for swearing and being abusive,he was not amused.
Makes me wonder if the bloke on the moan in was the one who done it :icon_lol:

Well this afternoon I went and renewed my season ticket.

One of the reasons is comments like Beighton's. I am sure he and others are right and that there are unpleasant places to sit. I am lucky. Where I sit just to the right of the manager the people are excellent. I did not know them until this season and have found them friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and often very funny - exactly the opposite to the ones where Beighton sits.
I am within shouting distance of Nigel but fortunately he ignored my persistent advice earlier in the season to drop Gallagher and play Nicky Adams.

As for the actual renewing I may be wrong but I seem to remember people have complained about the ticket office. All I can say is that the young lady who served me was efficient, chatty and quite delightful.

One silly thing is that I get a frisson of excitement walking to the ground even though there is no match on.
