but I didn't think that Nils-Eric Johansson failed to uphold his part in the back four and that is why he came off. I don't often name players for something like that, but I felt he let us down a little bit on Saturday and he has done on one or two other occasions.

That opens up an opportunity for someone else to come in because I think we can be even better defensively. If someone else comes in and takes his position then they will stay in.

From the OS.

Could be good news for Sheehan?

I find it worrying that CL has resorted to singling players out for criticism like that. Especially as Johansson is by no means our worst.

I hope he can find the plot some time soon, because he has either lost it or never had it to begin with.:frown:

What is most worrying about that statement perhaps is that it all comes down to the defence for Levein. Last time we scored the dead sea was only sick. that is the area that needs analysis, and if any criticism is going to be levvied he should direct it there. What good does slagging off nissa do?

So if you didn't think he failed, why did you take him off?

I cant believe CL has said that!!

even if he played the worst game of his life he doesnt want his manager saying that. Thats going to do his confidence no good at all.

Cl as much as i like the honesty it wasnt needed in this case. Bad Call

Particularly as Nissa was so clearly affected by the barracking he was getting from the home fans. What he needs is a boost to his confidence, not a slap in the face.

And this bit about whoever comes in, will stay in. What? Will stay in whatever?

What a crass statement and what crass reporting thereof!!

If Sheehan is in
and Nissa is out
in... out, in... out

Can we shake levein all about until he comes to his senses and stops treating LCFC like a hobby and more like a serious job.
You just have to get the ball in between the two posts at the opposite end of the pitch from where your bricky is standing. that is it...all there is to it!

maybe this is CLs way of giving Nissa the kick up the rear he needs to get him going again?:102: :102:

not the best way about it, but it could be good pshycology.

A lot of you should be happy you wanted Johannsson out...god help the poor sod who replaces him if he makes a mistake....and we conceed.

Picking out NEJ is pathetic. He is not a full back! On Saturday he was not helped by the lack of help down his side by other players when it was blindingly obvious that was where our problems lay. Also why leave it so long before taking him off in that case. As for naming names............. come on down Momo, I do not think he should ever play for us again if his attitude carries on the way it did on Saturday:icon_evil

I don't think that nissa is the problem, or the defence at all for that matter.

Levein has singled out players before, I'm not sure why people are so shocked. I'm glad Johansson is being dropped, I think he's very poor at left back.
