The Foxes Trust would like to encourage every Leicester City fan to take a few minutes to sign the petition to created by the Football Supporters Federation to clubs to share their significantly increased wealth from the new TV deal, you can access the petition via this link
http://foxestrust.co.uk/3575/sign-fsf-petition-to-share-wealth#more-3575

Supporters Direct also issued a statement which can be read here http://foxestrust.co.uk/3573/premier-league-broadcasting-deal-supporters-direct-statement

Signed.

I think the 'Twenty's Plenty' cap will come in - I think it has too much support not to and clubs would struggle to argue against it.

I don't think much else will happen though. I can't imagine there being a cap or major reduction in home ticket prices. Look at Arsenal for example - massive prices but huge waiting lists. So really, why would they drop their prices? It's a shame but it's business...

Prices aren't coming down till fans own clubs - and that doesn't look likely to happen given that Boc's £5 is still unaccounted for.

It says a lot where clubs lie on away support when City decided what to do with the PL away grant; using to cut price Fox Travel coaches which are inconvenient and like Hell on earth.

These situations would't even arise if full ownership of the clubs had been transferred to the FT and its equivalents elsewhere. All television and other income would be distributed amongst the deserving poor with the KP operating as a food bank.

I'm sorry but do you really think Sky is going to relinquish control of the Premier League and the fortunes of all those clubs beneath them. They have just won five of seven bids for live football it will be crumbs again for the lower divisions and basically **** all for grass roots football with a bit more for the Championship. Murdoch and his media machine are not interested in helping, just profit and they make none from muddy park pitches and parents hoping their kid makes the grade. I agree totally with the sentiments outlined and I will sign the petition, but the chances of success are nil unless Murdoch and his crew change from the ultimate Capitalist to one a of benevolent Socialist.

The bubble will eventually burst though as people will only pay a finite amount to watch on TV.

Well that's what happened to me a few years ago and hopefully others will follow suit as there is surely going to be another price hike due to this.

Yep. I ended my Sky subscription in 2007.

I have access to Sky and BT online via someone else's login details, but I can't see myself paying for a subscription again.

Same here but without the BT. I find NowTV is useful as I watch a fair number of box set. And we have to pay for virgins basic tv package as there is no tv aerial to the living room in our new house.

Have you looked in the lower right hand corner on the back of the sofa?

PL and Champions League football as a loss leader.

Take ITV out of the televised football equation to join the BBC as effectively a non major sports event channel fronted with darts and snooker and the olde FA Cup plus the dated MOTD where in an age of instant communication we all have to pretend that we don't know the results till Gary declares them at 11pm.
