They're talking about magic numbers again already but there's nowhere to hide. DD's safe house has been locked, the windows boarded up ready for the bulldozers to arrive and demolish it.

I was pissed off with people posting new stuff in long dead threads when it was more appropriate to start a new one, so I've set it so that threads are closed automatically 60 days after the last post.

Threads can be reopened by mods if there's a good reason to do it, but in the vast majority of cases it's more sensible to start a new thread.

I didn't do it to be a miserable ****, you stupid arsehole.

I did it for the benefit of the forum, to make it easier for people to use, particularly people who don't read every post.

For example the DD's safe house thread had hundreds of posts in it - but nothing since early December. Anyone new coming to that thread is likely to have lost interest in it long before seeing any new stuff added to the end.



Did you think I did it just to close your old thread?

If a thread hasn't been used for 60 days the system automatically closes it. I'd have thought any thread that hasn't been posted to for that long has run its course anyway and there's no reason to add to it.
