Not sure what the weather is like down in Leicester but we've had really bad thunderstorms up in the North West today and only about 5% of our Sky channels are working. I'm thinking that this is probably just to do with the weather and not specific to my house so was just wondering if anyone has been having any problems with Sky today or if they have had problems during storms before.

Any info greatfully received. Cheers TB'ers.

Could be a problem with the dish, my dish was blown slightly out of position in a storm a few months ago and it made some of the channels stop working, but others were fine.

Arrrgghh, it better not be that because it is getting cut off in a couple of weeks as we're moving out at the end of the month, doubt they would come and fix it before two weeks or even at all.

Cheers for the 'heads up' Jeff will have a look at it later when it has stopped pissing it down. Am I right in saying that the neighbours dish and others in close proximity should be roughly pointing in the same direction?

Could also be that the LNB is out of alignment rather than the dish itself.

I suggest you get a big ladder and climb up it during the storm to have a look.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks Jeff! :023:

Sounds like youve lost a certain polarisation that carries a range of channels. Is it working again? If not eith your dish has blown off line, your LNB has moved (unlikely) or your Digiboxes power supply to one of the polarisation tuners has buggered up.

Which channels are you missing? Or if its easier which ones are working?? :icon_bigg
