webbo,
just opened the leicester city forum and instead of the news ticker I got this:

Leicester City News

* edited by webbo the censor *

I've fixed it now.

And I've also stopped it from showing that error message if the problem happens again in the future - some of the stuff may be useful to potential hackers.

Just testing webbo:

Leicester City News

is still put it up!

It (the Site) has been intermittently unresponsive today. :-( Most recently a couple of minutes ago. ;-)

Yes they can. :-( :-( I still say get a proxy server so that if they do monitor it would not probably be a site they would block. ;-)

I know a proxy will hide the sites I am visitng. The problem is, no site is off limits (apart from the obvious) but its the time spent on there that will kill me. They will take one look at my usage time and its bye bye DurhamFox.

How much money do you want to spend to solve this problem? :p :p  ;-) Or, could you not use a WAP interface like Webbie. :D :D  ;-)

Well the ridiculous thing is they provide me with a fully expensed mobile phone, so I can just cane that with the GPS connection via my iPaq. Furthermore there are 2 communal PC's in our receptioon which cant be monitored as they don't know who is using them so there are ways around it but not as convenient as my current arrangement.

It's no so bad then, you can always pop out for a quick post or use the wireless stuff. Agreed though, not as good as a PC. :-( :D :D  ;-)

I am aware of this problem, it seems to be something to do with MySQL hogging all the processor time - but every time I try to look into it it clears up before I find out what was wrong.

I think I'll reboot the server to see if that clears it up - so expect a few minutes downtime starting around half a minute from now...

Just this second happened again. 3mins for a response, not my network. :D :D  ;-)

Very slow.
I think Webbo is more interested in 'feeding the pigeons' not the hamsters... :p

im not at home at the moment so I can't check the server but the Site appears to be working ok at the moment

is it Just slowness or are You getting error messages ?
