Its yet another bad season with little hope on the horizon, but i always thought a mid table finish would be our best hope unlike some prdicting play-offs. However i refuse to let my love of City wither and im always looking for positives (they are hughlely outweight with the negatives however:-

1. Logan looks like we had the keeper solution in-house all along and could well have saved us money and the worries every time were attacked.

2. McAuley looks to have done enough to prove a capable deputy for Paddy Mac or Kisnorbo.

3. Kenton has been a success in my opinion apart from probably the cause of Stearmans bad form.

4. Porter has proved he is capable of playing in the first team.

5. OGrady has not scored the goals but does offer something different to Hume /Matty and has proved to me he can play at this level.

6. Weso hasnt been injured yet

My biggest disappointments thus far:-
1. still no left back solution.
2. not replaced Joey.

3. Failure to get the best out of Hume/Matty (because they are capable of scoring the goals if the balls on the grass and in te right areas.

4. Failure to beat crap teams at home

I think we could have got into the play offs if we had of beaten West Brom - I felt that was an absolutly pivitol moment in Leicester's season. A win there would have set out our intentions and showed the rest of the Championship we could play ball with the big guns of this division. We played crap and everyone knows it, the players moral dropped and so did the fans. Suddenly the rest of the season looked a lot more gloomy.

Mid table isnt that bad, with what weve got that should be the realistic view.

Promotion was never going to happen this year, play offs very very unlikely we are in a transitional period we are not the team we were in 1998 we are a team that has to learn that hunger and its going to take time, but the worst thing we could do is get rid of the manager as i believe he has enough to save us from certain relegation, whereas another manager would come in and try to change evrything good that we have done, remeber when adams came in and basically started a pension scheme at city, basically if you were a pensioner you were in!

The young lads will save us this year and then maybe next year or even later we will start to become the leicester that we all remember.

String 3 or 4 wins together and we will be around the play off area. We are not dead and buried, it is more than possible to finish in the play offs if we manage to gel over the next couple of weeks. But from what I've witnessed so far this season I'm not optimitistic, but I'm not without hope either

undefeated in 3 ;)

There's still far too much football to be played yet....

Well, as RK said, the biggest positive is that we are hard to beat. It's taking the next step that is harder, and it doesn't really look like happening.

But also we find winning matches difficult especially in the league, the similarities with Levein's reign is uncanny, inconsistent in the league, yet each run littered with the odd cup win to help mask the indifferent league form.

The draws away at both Sunderland and Birmingham were very good results, however if we continually fail to follow these results with victories at home to the likes of the Hull's and Colchester's of this world then I am afraid a relegation battle will be all we can expect.

I thought this thread would be about the top end of a AAA battery, a long overdue thread imo, imagine my surprise...
