Anyone know what to do?

I wish people would explain their problems better!

What do you mean they're not working?

Can you not see them in other people's posts?

Are you trying to insert them into your own posts and they're not appearing?

Is there a specific post with an example, and if so can you post a link to it?

Can you not see them in the editor interface so you can't add them to a post?
If so which version of the editor are you using?

Ooops i'd be careful Foxesgirl he sounds moody,

After years of working in IT support I could still never get people to explain their problem properly at the first attempt. People wouldn't go to their doctor and say "I'm illl" without explaining what's wrong, but they expect you to diagnose a computer problem if all they tell you is "it's not working"!

Sorry.

I can see them in other people's posts but if I try to insert them into my own then they do not appear.

It won't even let me click on the smiley I want. And even if I type the code thingy for it, it appears as just that, not the smiley.

If that makes sense.

Sounds like it could be a javascript problem, try going to post message page then pressing ctrl-F5. If that doesn't work try restarting your PC. If that doesn't work try posting a reply with the code for a smilie - for example :tumbleweed:

Thankyou.

I have had this problem. Does it say “Done, but with errors on the page” in the bottom left hand corner of the internet explorer window when you are in the post screen?

That message would indicate a javascript problem, maybe the script isn't loading properly, ctrl-F5 ought to force it to reload.

yeh this works for me! or the refresh button at the top of the page generally has the same effect

Perhaps you didn't explain to them properly that they needed to explain things properly to you.
