Good evening Foxes fans. Forest fan here.
I joined your site following the first game at the City Ground to wish all the best to your player - not here to cause trouble.
Thought I would look in tonight as theres speculation on the Forest boards that your lot are after Nathan Tyson on a loan deal with a view to a January move.
A figure of 1.5m has been mentioned.
Would be sad to see him go if its true. Championship is about the peak of his abilities I would say. Fairly quick, but has been a bit injury prone for us. Needs a decent run in a side really to see exactly what he can do.
Anyway. To Megson. Read with interest a thread about what Martin Allen allegedly did and didnt do. Alienating players, falling out with people etc. Sounds familiar to GMs reign with us.
To be fair though, he will kick arses if they are needing a kick. He will weed out the bad apples - and then ban them / shun them / keep them away from the club - just like Alan Rogers at Forest.
Rogers allegedly leaked the team and formation to Micky Adams when we were playing Cov to spite Megson, but thats another tale........
I think Megson got a rough deal at our place (a view not shared by many Reds). He inherited a relegation bound team, a dressing room who thought they were much better than they were and not prepared to play for the club. He had to get rid of about 15 players and start again. Most of them were on juicy contracts and didnt want to go anywhere.
Some of his signings were ok, others not so great. At least you can be certain that Rogers wont be coming back to your place!!
The football will be a bit dull. Quite defensive and 1-0s will be the norm. Given time, I think he will do ok for you. Dont think Mandaric will allow too much time though.
Much depends on if the players take to him or if he pisses them off and they dont perform. If its the latter, I think you will be searching for another manager by the end of the season.
After us, dont think Megsons CV will stand for another failure though and you may be lucky.
Best wishes (and not too much success) for the rest of the season.
