So much for not over-celebrating.....

I've noticed quite a few times this season how when players have scored against there old clubs they haven't celebrated such as Andy Johnson against Birmingham and James Beattie against Southampton. However when Dickov scored the winner today he was celebrating like mad. I know you can't blame the bloke at first, as he has just put his team through to the semis. However after a couple of seconds there was no change and he was still celebrating like crazy. I had hoped he would show the club who saved his career a little respect-how naive I was.

noticed he kissed he wedding ring.....don't know why,he doesn't think about wearing one when he's playing away.....ooops.

alledgedly. ;-)

Dickov is perhaps one of the most overrated players that has put on the blue shirt. His technique is poor and he is slow - even against the likes of Dublin and Dabizas. The La Manga incident brought the name of this great club into shame. I also can't stand his constant whining at referees - De Vries gets booked for dissent and Dickov gets away with it. I used to find his behaviour annoying even when he was playing for us - mindless free kicks given away. Forget Dickov, and remember the class of Bent and the professionalism of Ferdinand.

I noticed that Dickov had decisions go for him that wouldn't have done when he was playing for City. Why? He got nothing when he played for us.

On the subject of Dickov over celebrating the goal, well he was always going to do that after we barracked him for eighty minutes, when will we ever learn? Best to ignore the little sh*t, let him be alone in his sad little world.

"It was a fantastic feeling to score the winner and I think everyone saw from my celebrations what it meant," said Dickov.

"The main thing was getting through but for me to score against my old club makes it all the sweeter.

"Their fans gave me some stick, which I was a bit surprised at because I had two great years there and I thought I did alright for them as well, so it was a little bit disappointing.

"But the best way to shut them up is to put the ball in the back of the net and that's what I did."

Correct, after reminding him of La Manga I am surprised he didn't run to our end to celebrate.
