Some people amaze me: you can honestly hold the twin beliefs that Sousa is rubbish and that AEK Athens are keen to sign him. Does it not give anyone pause for thought? :102:

I don't see that the two are mutually exclusive. Given the players we have, the style of football that they are capable of and the division we are in, then Sousa is shit.

However, his style of play, coaching, tactics etc may well be suited the likes of AEK.

Well I'm glad a separate thread was started. i've been doing my best to avoid the LCFC forum since last friday, and wouldn't known about this from the title of any of the other threads

I imagine the Jacks had the same thoughts when MM came a calling.

The two issues are not incompatible:

Sousa's approach is unsuited to the players we have and the league we play in.

AEK don't actually play in our league.

Peter Taylor was a disastrous manager at LCFC - but that doesn't mean he isn't a decent youth coach.

Holloway was overawed (difficult to credit I know!) by being LCFC manager. On the otherhand he's made a fair fist of a small club like Blackpool even tho' they'll be relegated.

It's all about horses for courses - and to be honest, I'd like to see Sousa anywhere but at Leicester.

Sorry, I was born and raised in Leicester, you would have thought that I would understand the local dialect. So, when people say that Sousa is, in your own words, "shit", what they really mean is that he is too good for us and we are not worthy to touch the laces upon his training boots.

Got it - thanks! :icon_lol:

MM can't help meddling so will definitely have been eyeing up and possibly tapping up replacements, regardless of how well or badly we're doing. He seemed to be keeping Sousa sweet long before NP went and also often seems very reluctant to slate an outgoing manager (and probably makes sure he still has their contact details...)

Having said that, I think MON would (probably quite rightly) tell him what to do with his/their filthy serbian/american/thai money. Perhaps we could hire him on a consultancy basis though.

Why, would that make their money any cleaner?
